Genesis 37:9 “And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me.”
We see in this preceding Scripture where Joseph seemingly compares his eleven brothers to “stars” and his parents, Jacob and Rachel, to the “sun” and “moon”. Jacob was renamed “Israel” by GOD. Jacob was the father of the twelve tribes of Israel and thus is the father of the Israeli people.
We also see this Scripture in Revelation 12 that speaks of twelve stars, the sun, and moon in reference to a woman:
Revelation 12:1 “And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars”
Followed by this:
Revelation 12:17 “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.”
The dragon mentioned in Revelation 12 is a figure of Satan. Jesus once said to those without Him that they were of their father the devil. Not much has changed. No wonder the world is now turning against Israel.
Ezekiel 37 prophesies of Israel becoming a nation again. This was fulfilled (1948). I believe we are about to see the fulfillment of Ezekiel 38 now. Chapter 38 states that Israel is attacked by the countries listed in the first few verses of chapter 38. First among those listed is Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, who is of the land of Magog. Along with Gog, others attacking Israel in Ezekiel 38 include Persia (Iran), Sudan (some say Ethiopia also), Phut (Libya), Gomer (and all his bands), Togarmah of the north quarters (and all his bands) and many people with them.
Using a Biblical map of the Table of Nations, you get an idea of some of the nations who may be attacking Israel very soon, which includes Russia, Armenia, Iran, Sudan (some say Ethiopia also), Libya, and some other countries (Muslim and/or former U.S.S.R. nations). Be sure to click the names of each country in the previous sentence to read an article pertinent to what is happening right now between that country and Israel.
It’s also very possible that Israel will turn to Jesus. How else do you get 144,000 believing Jews from all 12 tribes in Revelation chapter 7? And if this is so, it’s possible that the event in Ezekiel 38 precedes that revival. Several passages seem to indicate this possibility such as Ezekiel 39.
Ezekiel 39:28-29 “Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.”
Also, notice in Revelation 12:17 mentioned previously that it says “the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of GOD, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” This sounds like a nation of Israel that has turned back to their Messiah and is further proof, in my estimate, that a revival is coming to Israel. The Holy Spirit may be getting ready to do a mighty work in that land.
Though America, Europe, Russia, the Middle East, and even some “christians” turn against Israel, GOD will not.
Watch out, world! GOD has made an everlasting covenant with Israel and makes very clear promises regarding these last days!!!! Israel is back in the land as He prophesied over eighteen times in Ezekiel and GOD will use these days to bring her to Himself again. The time of the Gentiles seem to be ending very soon as lethargy toward the Gospel has entered our Gentile world. Be prepared for the “week of Jacob” which the Prophet Daniel mentions in Daniel chapter 9!
The injustice against you is sickening! GOD “has your back though” as Scripture says! The world may overcome you as Zechariah 14 says, but they will NEVER remove you from your land .. though the entire world encompasses your city as Zechariah 12 and 14 also say!!
“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.” – Zechariah 12:2
Right after the prophet Ezekiel states that the nation of Israel will be revived again after being removed from her land for many years (1948). Then Ezekiel in the next chapter speaks prophetically of the countries who attack Israel.
“And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD, that my fury shall come up in my face.” – Ezekiel 38:18
Ezekiel 38:23 says: “Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD.”
“And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.” – Zechariah 12:9
