Which is the higher law of the land? The Constitution or the 1917 Espionage Act?
Which is the more damaging to our national security and freedom? An out-of-control government’s violation of its citizens most sacred of trusts and the Bill of Rights? Or the actions of Edward Snowden in revealing such attacks upon our privacy and security as citizens? Was Snowden a pro-Constitutional sacrificial lamb or a Russian spy? I believe Snowden must answer for Snowden, and we may never know all the answers as to who is guilty or innocent in the Snowden affair. What we do know is that while the NSA story has kept people occupied with a topic other than Obama’s IRS and Benghazi scandals, we are still unsure of Snowden’s motives and can hope that his intent was truly to inform his fellow citizens and not far more sinister. Some have a compelling case that Snowden and Assange may be tools of the government to further their own interests as seen in the article at this link. Others say Snowden was working for the Russians years before he defected to Russia and revealed the NSA’s draconian invasions of privacy as seen in the article at this link. What do I think? I believe we must question everyone and everything. That’s called critical thinking, a lost art in the modern world in which everyone gapes their mind open for a textbook or media feed to be fed into it. Anyone who understands the illegal powers of the “Patriot Act” that Bush passed or who has watched the TV show “Person of Interest” which began running in September of 2011 had some clue that “you are being watched” as that show’s opening states.
When will we hear of a call in the media and government for the trials of every executive, legislative, judicial, intelligence, and military leader who was culpable in the violation of American citizen’s privacy and Constitutional rights? Or are we past that point of lawfulness in America? Are we now left with men in government and media who think they can sneer at the rights of citizens and who are intent upon destroying the liberties of her citizens? Have they not read the history of the French Revolution and of what happens to fascists? Or the words of Patrick Henry who embodied the spirit of America? And are they familiar with our forefathers being called treasonous traitors in the beginning of this nation when an out-of-control Old World Order was attempting to crush the citizens under its iron fist? What were the words of Patrick Henry?
“Caesar,” said he, “had his Brutus, Charles his Cromwell, and (pausing) George the third (here a cry of treason, treason was heard, supposed to issue from the chair, but with admirable presence of mind he proceeded) may profit by their examples. Sir, if this be treason,” continued he, “make the most of it.” – John Burk, History of Virginia (1805)
Do the fascists who are quietly taking over our country really expect the American people to give up their Constitution created by elected officials in exchange for “security”, so that un-elected officials and entities such as the NSA and CIA can create the world’s largest confessional booth?
“When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.” – Edmund Burke, in his “Thoughts on the Cause of Present Discontents” (1770)
Our present course must be changed. That is my thought as I remember the famous saying (which has been attributed to several sources and which I will paraphrase) “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men say and do nothing”.
The National Security Agency (NSA), a group of people paid by American taxpayers, have used programs such as PRISM (see more on PRISM in the article at this link) and many other surveillance tools to spy on the Americans who pay them. Did all of their spying stop the Boston bombing? No. Did it stop any of the other multitude of terrorists or school shootings? No. Why is there more interest in the lives of Americans than the lives of terrorists? For whom is the NSA really working? American taxpayers? Or a foreign government known as the “Old World Order” as seen in the article at this link.
In a world where people naively believe that they can trust their government enough to give away their guns to them, or that their government would never spy on them, or that they can believe mainstream media who attempt to dissuade the public from believing NSA whistle-blowers, the phrase “I told you so” is my way of pointing out that those of us who speak out about conspiracies within the government are telling the truth. We told you so.
To read my previous warnings regarding how the government and the NSA have been taking American’s tax money in order to spy on the very same Americans in violation of their privacy, view my articles at this link and this link and this link and this link and this link.
That’s right. We told you so. Meanwhile, no apologies will ever be made to those who protect the American people through the sharing of information and whistle-blowing. These grass-roots journalists do not speak out for thanks or for gain, but rather for love for their fellow man, even if that means being branded as “conspiratorial” or wearers of “tin foil hats”. It’s a small price to pay compared to those who are risking their very lives for liberty at this very hour, while other citizens guffaw about the latest movie or resort they have enjoyed. In truth, even if the Congress created an amendment to allow the NSA to spy on Americans, such a strategy produces “over-collection” and doesn’t fulfill their alleged goal of finding terrorists as seen in the article at this link.
Meanwhile, media kingpins are working hard to “spin” everything. Some who have a more “conservative” persona, like Fox News, are trying to play neutral. Others are attempting to convince the public that the affirmation given by recent whistle-blowers is not accurate. Even others are trying to discredit the whistle-blowers. Some are saying it could create a rift in the relationship between America and Communist China. Should that relationship be our first concern? Or should our first concern be for the communists and Roman fascists in our own government who are posing as both Democrats, Republicans, and media personnel?
Most mainstream media are painting Snowden to be a traitor when in reality they are traitors for hiding this information from the citizens. Notice that this intelligence employee for American security forces did not go to American media for an interview. He chose “The Guardian” from the United Kingdom. That is very telling.
The confusion that results is helping some citizens realize how corrupt the media and government have become. Some realize this is an affirmation that conspiracies do exist (i.e. Prism/NSA, Benghazi, and far more). Others continue to foolishly believe the lies of the mainstream media. One need only listen to U.S. Representative and California Democrat, Maxine Waters, who managed to make the CREW list of corrupt government officials and who is a fan of the Obama administration. Maxine Waters stated in the video and article at this link:
“The President has put in place an organization with the kind of database that no one has ever seen before in life,” Representative Maxine Waters told Roland Martin on Monday. “That’s going to be very, very powerful,” Waters said. “That database will have information about everything on every individual on ways that it’s never been done before and whoever runs for President on the Democratic ticket has to deal with that. They’re going to go down with that database and the concerns of those people because they can’t get around it. And he’s [President Obama] been very smart. It’s very powerful what he’s leaving in place.”
How is this information gleaned by the NSA being used? Does the NSA also employ battalions of witches as a part of their program to perform psychic connections for them? That’s what one report says in the article at this link and another article at this link. Even Ted Koppel of ABC News reported the same in the video at this link. To learn how dangerous that really can be, please read the article at this link.
As “The Guardian” recently reported in the article at this link, Edward Snowden appears to be a conscientious soul, not a traitor giving away state secrets. Snowden was a recent NSA whistle-blower whose life is at risk presently for telling the American public that their trust was being violated by the NSA and the Obama administration who were illegally harvesting citizen’s private information in violation of Constitutional law and American’s privacy. What’s the point of HIPAA and other privacy laws in America if they are being violated night and day by the NSA? Why is the government fining companies for violating privacy laws or forcing companies to print and mail out privacy notices if they are violating people’s privacy every second of every day? Can anyone say “hypocrite”?
I wonder how many modern-day Pharisees looked over the NSA’s violations of our Constitutional rights using some justification to white-wash their own silence in this affair before this Good Samaritan stepped up and looked out for his fellow Americans? The Constitution trumps the 1917 Espionage Act. Even a child could clearly understand this.
To those who call Snowden a traitor or say he could have gone about this matter differently, they usually speak from opinion and not from knowledge. We don’t know the entire story, but we do know the government is admitting to a great deal of the surveillance story. Americans need to review the speech of Patrick Henry in the video at this link. We are in a similar place as was Patrick Henry and our forefathers. We must soon make our choice as to whether we are mice or men.
The Bible teaches us to be salt and light, bringing justice to our fellow citizens, instead of hiding our heads in the ground or pretending that evil doesn’t exist. I have found that most people tend to quote the Bible to their own advantage rather than quoting the Bible in context using rules of inference, usage, definition, precedent, and logic. Therefore, it is no surprise that many people will quote verses from Romans 13 in order to hide their own cowardice, rather than following the example of John 15:13. Other articles surrounding Snowden are found at this link and this link and this video. Notice in the video that the media is more concerned about Snowden’s “national security leak” (i.e. whistle-blowing) than they are about the U.S. government’s illegal activities and violation of the Constitution. That is very telling.
Representative Mike Rogers, a weak-kneed Michigan Republican and RINO fraud, called for the prosecution of Snowden. Representative Rogers apparently has no problem with the NSA’s activities and this is the problem. He and other traitors in our government are unwilling to admit that their illegal activities forced Snowden to do what he did (if Snowden did this act out of pure motives). The oath to support the Constitution trumps the secondary oath to protect national secrets. This is the problem with what is being said in the media. The Constitution was created by the Congress who was elected by the people. The intelligence forces were never elected and should be merged into our military. Rogers is the Chairman of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. Rogers is not alone. Graduate of Notre Dame and Roman Catholic U.S. Representative for New York, Peter T. King, is also hunting Snowden. Be sure to use this opportunity to hunt RINOs. As 2016 elections approach, ensure you know who is protecting the NSA during this entire debacle. You will then know how to better vote in 2016 for those who care about your Bill of Rights. King formerly served as the Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security, and now serves on the of the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence.
Talk of liberty is cheap. Sacrifice is priceless.
Snowden should not be the big topic. Obama’s treachery should be. Also, Rogers is a fraud and a protector of subversive and anti-American activities. Rogers should be tried and imprisoned.
Snowden is a whistle-blower on those in office (elected and un-elected) who are comfort-loving, spineless, self-seeking cowardly traitors. As can be seen, not all of these traitors are liberals. Some call themselves “christians”, “conservatives”, and Republicans as well, and justify their own apathy and cowardice. Is Snowden working out of pure motives or is this really just another part of Obama’s game? Is Assange working out of pure motives or is he also working another angle for the “Old World Order”? Regardless of their motives, we must not look to anyone as “gospel truth”, but question everyone and everything. We can also be thankful that Snowden has been exposing these men in the Obama administration, the Bush administration, and the NSA for the evil, cruel criminals that they are. The day that whistle-blowers are called traitors is the day that this nation is in grave danger of making American-loving whistle-blowers appear to be American-hating terrorists. That day is now. Another evil is that of making terrorists appear to be innocent for “national security reasons” which some reports suggested was the case in relation to a known suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing. The frightening thing is the number of frauds in our Congress in top positions.
“Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.” – [John 15:13]
On the other hand, some people have the foresight of a blind mole. They say “come look at my computer, because I have nothing to hide”. Such ignorance is the root of many of our problems. People have forgotten that there’s a reason for the Bill of Rights. The horrors of a “spy state” will be understood far better once a violent, fascist administration uses their policies to forbid citizens basic rights, beliefs, and freedoms. Their surveillance system will ensure everyone conforms like slaves. At that point, citizens may speak out, but it will be too late and will undoubtedly bring about their early demise.
Snowden is not alone in blowing the whistle. Before Snowden, there was William Binney, as you can watch in the video at this link. Kirk Wiebe was also involved in blowing the whistle, as seen in the article at this link. You will be amazed at how much data, both visual and audio, the NSA are collecting on you through your cell phone, your monitor, your computer, and much more. This is a clear violation of your rights, friend. You are not a criminal. The NSA needs a search warrant. Please share this article as a person of courage, and ensure that you are a voice for reason and righteousness. Whistle-blowing is a painful business, but it is easier when liberty lovers unite behind such a person.
We must not be afraid to speak out for liberty, so that we can “save our own life”, or in the end, we will lose life and liberty. According to the Bible, there is a time to hide yourself and there is a time to speak out. The time to speak out is now. On our present course, it will soon be death to anyone who speaks out. That will be the time to hide yourself.
The NSA still refuses disclosure on their activities and continues to harden their neck to the cries of the American people while giving vague answers as can be seen in the article at this link.
“Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy. – [Proverbs 28:13]
“He who is often reproved, yet stiffens his neck, will suddenly be broken beyond healing. When the righteous increase, the people rejoice, but when the wicked rule, the people groan.” – [Proverbs 29:1-2]
Being a slave who is spied upon is no fun. Just listen to those who have endured slavery and fascism and you will learn this truth quickly. One such person was Alexander Solzhenitsyn who stated that he would rather be “dead than Red” (referring to the red color associated with the communist party). Patrick Henry said “Give me liberty or give me death.” I know there are those who love to quote him and even play the part of Henry in a drama as actors, but few today appear to be walking in his steps.
“First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me—
and there was no one left to speak out for me.”
Americans who know their rights need to educate their friends who do not know using social networking, and also other classes or means of education for those who are “off the grid”. An example of such pro-freedom, pro-American activity includes articles like the one at this link which states:
“If the federal government should overpass the just bounds of its authority and make a tyrannical use of its powers, the people,” Hamilton wrote in Federalist 33, “whose creature it is, must appeal to the standard they have formed [the Constitution], and take such measures to redress the injury done to the Constitution as the exigency may suggest and prudence justify.”
As the historian Herodotus said in his writing “The Histories”:
“It is better by noble boldness to run the risk of being subject to half of the evils we anticipate than to remain in cowardly listlessness for fear of what might happen.”
I have no doubt that there are many cowards in our midst like CFR member, John McCain, as well as friends and neighbors, but if you care and are courageous, then you must speak out loudly and persistently enough in order to persuade them to also raise their voices loudly for our freedom. Some are beginning to raise their voices to Senator McCain as seen in the video at this link. As Brooke Foss Westcott once said:
“Great occasions do not make heroes or cowards; they simply unveil them to the eyes of men. Silently and perceptibly, as we wake or sleep, we grow strong or weak; and last some crisis shows what we have become. ”
Men like Rand Paul and Trey Gowdy are standing up for our freedoms, while men like John McCain are showing how cowardly they really are as can be seen in the article at this link. Through McCain’s cowardice, he is essentially aiding and abetting those who are seeking to violate Americans, and thus he is an instrument of subversion and treason. May GOD recompense Obama, McCain, the directors of the NSA, and others for their actions as they destroy other’s lives by advancing their own careers and self-seeking agendas.
James Madison writes in Federalist No. 45 regarding out-of-control federal powers:
“The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce; … The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which, in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives, liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement, and prosperity of the State.”
When one realizes what the NSA is doing, it makes one wonder which country or cause they are truly serving. America or a foreign power (i.e. Old World Order)? I will leave you to answer that. However, who benefits? Who gets to play “hero” for the world? Read the article at this link to find out.
Regarding the NSA’s illegal spying upon American citizens in violation of existing privacy laws and Constitutional rights, Roman Catholic Senator Kelly Ayotte, a Republican from New Hampshire, supported their snooping by saying: “I don’t think it’s an accident that administrations from two very different philosophies have supported keeping this program in place,” I don’t either, but for a different reason. Please read my article at this link to find out why. Roman Catholic Democrat Senator Dianne Feinstein agrees with fellow adherent, Senator Ayotte, as does Roman Catholic Senator Marco Rubio. Roman Catholic Speaker of the House of Representatives John Boehner and Roman Catholic Senator Jeffrey Chiesa also agree with them. I could create a very long list, but this should suffice enough to ask you one question. Does anyone notice a pattern? Is there a disproportionate number of individuals from one single religious slant in our top offices? And isn’t it interesting that this one religion happens to be the only one that also doubles as a foreign power in the state of Vatican City? Is it also telling that our forefathers believed that if anyone would throw over our rights, it would be these clever men of Rome who lost power after ruling the world for most of the past two thousand years? Is anyone naive enough to believe they are not interested in reclaiming their global mantle?
“It is my opinion that if the liberties of this country – the United States of America – are destroyed, it will be by the subtlety of the Roman Catholic Jesuit priests, for they are the most crafty, dangerous enemies to civil and religious liberty. They have instigated MOST of the wars of Europe.” – Lafayette (1757-1834; French statesman and general who served under the command of General George Washington
The evil theology of the Jesuits won them the ignominious reputation of having been expelled and banned from eighty-three countries, and in some cases more than once. Their motto has been “The end justifies the means”. Why are we not surprised that the NSA chief would like to justify his and the NSA’s illegal and evil actions by saying that it foiled so many “plots”. Not only is this a convenient excuse, but it is an immoral one. As a brilliant government teacher of mine once said: “Your rights end where my nose begins”. We cannot co-exist without this basic principle of government. Our actions should not supersede the rights of others. We were warned many years ago by greater men than those who sneak and spy on their neighbors (NSA employees) that liberty should never be surrendered for a “sense” of security. True security is in liberty. We are better “dead than red”. Give us liberty or death. These are the mottoes of past heroes of liberty … and they spoke from experience. Did you know that the Jesuits were also the order of men appointed by the Vatican as the “Masters of the Inquisition”? The end never justifies the means, despite what the Pope or his Jesuits may think. The article at this link shows the fallacy of such reasoning.
When will the media stop wagging their tongues long enough to think about the spirit of the laws instead of the letter of the laws? Was Snowden operating within the American spirit and the intent of our forefathers? Or was our government? What if “nothing is as it seems”? Meanwhile, here are some excellent questions that Allen West asked recently as seen in the article at this link:
“As I ponder the NSA records data mining episode, here are my thoughts. This is like carpet bombing vs. precision attack. Can someone explain why we weren’t listening to Anwar-al-Awlaki and his conversations with Major Nidal Hasan? Why weren’t we able to track Carlos Bledsoe’s travel to Somalia and Yemen to receive terrorist training? Why didn’t we pay attention to warning signs of Abdul Mutallab (underwear bomber) with a one-way ticket and little baggage traveling from Nigeria to America? Why weren’t we paying attention to the Tsarnaev brothers’ travels and connections to Chechen Islamic terrorism — … Russia warned us? Why is it that in October 2011, 57 Islamic organizations — several with ties to Muslim Brotherhood — sent a letter to then counter-terrorism advisor John Brennan demanding we purge training materials and punish instructors they deemed “offensive” and we didn’t say “shove it” and target THEIR records? We’d rather carpet bomb Americans to cover our cowardice in confronting Islamic extremism. Benjamin Franklin said, “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”
Furthermore, if spying on citizens was not enough, the NSA sins are far more sinister than the information shared above as you can see in the article at this link. Even your mail is impacted by secret spying on citizens. Mail Isolation Control and Tracking (MICT) is a secret program of the United States Postal Service as seen in the article at this link.
When men become so refined that they are mild-mannered and kind to tyrants, they will find themselves enslaved to the same without the pleasures of refinement.
