TRUTH: Do we really know?

bill-of-rightsWith all the smoke and mirrors, some people wonder whether we can ever really know the truth about who is responsible for global chaos and what is really happening.   But do we perhaps know more of why our world is in a mess than we pretend?

Is it mere ignorance that keeps people in America from rising up and demanding that their Bill of Rights, purchased in blood by courageous men, be restored by leaders in their government?

Or is it apathy?  Or are they just unwilling to put themselves in jeopardy for the justice and liberty of fellow men on this planet? Is that why they wait to act? Is it, because they haven’t been affected yet?

apathy-e1293048023223Is it pride?  Are they afraid of standing out of the crowd which sits waiting for a leader to rise due to their cowardice?

Is it laziness or procrastination?  Is it because they hope someone else will do it, so they don’t have to do anything? Do they think that if they wait long enough that the problems will fix themselves?

blameDo they prefer to just blame someone else or their politicians for their own refusal to care enough to sacrifice their comfort to ensure liberty and justice for all?

Do they just prefer to maintain their ritualistic daily habits and fear that speaking out could jeopardize their life of mediocrity or force them from their “comfort zone” and that’s a price they refuse to pay?

Hell-300x225Is that why men go to hell also?  Is it their apathy, pride, cowardice, procrastination, or fear of losing their “comfort zone” or “pleasure zone”?  Could it be that men enter hell, not for lack of knowledge, but rather because of their excuses, lack of humility and repentance, and their own proud refusal to kneel before their own Creator?  Is that why they also refuse to even consider the abundant evidence of GOD’s Truth?

Could it be that Truth is ever before them, but they refuse to notice it, much like the citizens of America who see the problem, but refuse to fix it?  Remember the famous question that Pontius Pilate presented to Jesus Christ?  He asked “What is truth?”.

onewayJesus had said earlier in His life “I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no man comes unto the Father but by me”.  In this statement, Jesus claimed to be the exclusive Truth.

In chapter 17 of the Gospel of John, Jesus had prayed to His Father “Thy Word is Truth“.  In the first chapter of John, the Bible states:

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, the glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”

sacrificeWhile many are willing to speak out against injustice and enslavement and the snatching away of your rights by the government, few are willing to put everything on the line including their life.  GOD could have remained in his “comfort zone” too, but He did not.

“For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  – John 3:16

big brotherIs it possible that your Creator died in your place almost two thousand years ago to purchase your official pardon from His Father for all of your many sins, including all those things the NSA knows about you, as well as for all those sinful thoughts you may have never said out loud?  Upon learning that Obama and the NSA know some of their secrets through the NSA “big brother” surveillance program, many citizens around the world were shocked and upset, and rightly so.  However, Obama is guilty of many sins and so are many in the NSA, so if they use their secret information for blackmail or extortion, it would be just one more evil deed in their day.

NSAThe real fear that citizens around the world should have is that of Judgment Day when the perfect, holy, all-powerful Creator will judge them for every secret thought and deed, and when everyone, including their family, friends, and neighbors, will know everything they have done in secret.

  • “Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.” – 1 Timothy 5:24
  • “For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.” – Luke 8:17
  • “For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.” – James 2:10

masoretic-manuscriptWould you be willing to read the Bible, the most published Book on the planet and the most quoted by all major religions to see what it says? Are you woefully naive about how you will fare on Judgment Day?  Did you know the Bible has more ancient copies than any other historic document in existence which allows more opportunity to verify its accuracy and authenticity?  If you would like to read the Bible for yourself, instead of letting others like media, clergy, professors, or parents do your thinking for you; click here to start your journey.

Decision-Maker-214x300To get an audio copy of the Bible, be sure to click here or read more about such an option here.  What if you doze back in your recliner and forget about the next life (your eternal soon-to-be-life) until you are jolted out of your “comfort zone” by the eternal flames of the lake of fire? What then?  Will your excuses matter then?  Will you quote your favorite atheist or evolutionist or religious leader then?  Will you downplay the Bible that has been tested for millennia then?  What will your “good times” with “the crowd” matter then?  Will you be able to turn on your favorite entertainment or turn up your music to distract yourself then?   Whatever you decide to do, it may change the reality of what happens after you draw your last breath on this planet.  Bread and circuses are no replacement for Truth.

An example of how men do not truly search for Truth, but gravitate toward whatever is convenient or in their “comfort zone” can be seen in this video on abortion and this video on evolution.

wyattRon Wyatt, the archaeologist featured on BBC many years ago, was at the center of several important discoveries. He never commercialized his findings or sought money and fame from his work, but simply wanted to learn the Truth.  Therefore, I would like to share a bit of the information that he discovered before his death which can be seen in the following videos.

The Truth about salvation isn’t as hard to find as we imagine it to be. We know what we should do.  It’s the same in the political spectrum.  We know what it takes to suppress tyranny, but we are afraid to leave our “comfort zone”.   The price of liberty is vigilance and its payment is blood.

The-Word-Became-FleshThe price of eternal life was already paid for you, but it requires that you give your life to Jesus, which means you must take up your “cross” and suffer like Him in order to follow Him.

In John 17, Jesus prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane to His Father, just before his crucifixion: “Sanctify them through thy truth: Thy Word is Truth.”

poncio-pilatos-776x600In John 18, Pilate asked Jesus a question: “Pilate said unto him, ‘What is Truth?’ And when he had said this, he went out again unto the Jews, and said unto them, I find in Him no fault at all.”

After this admission by Pilate of Jesus’ innocence, we then read in John 19 that Pilate turns this innocent Person over for punishment to maintain his own “comfort zone” when by his own admission he had found “No fault at all” in Him.   As the Bible states, “Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him … Then delivered he him therefore unto them to be crucified”.

Red Chair to face a blank wallThat pretty much sums up mankind’s quest for truth … they find truth when it’s convenient and seldom do they find it.  They are not really seeking for the Author of Truth.  Like Esau in the Biblical story, they prefer the “here and now” instead of the eternal. God is always seeking us out, even if we’re not seeking Him.   In fact, He loves us more than we love ourselves.

“Run to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem; See now and know; And seek in her open places If you can find a man, If there is anyone who executes judgment, Who seeks the truth, And I will pardon her.”  – Jeremiah 5:1

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”  – John 8:32

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, no, not one.”  – Romans 3:10-12

christmas-pagan-433x350Salvation is not about church attendance, clergy in robes, canons and creeds, or most of what takes place in the name of Christianity today, including Christmas and Easter, but it is actually about how we have separated ourselves from our Creator due to our sin (which He as a holy Judge must punish in order to remain just), and how He made it possible for reconciliation.  It’s between Him and me only.  It’s between Him and you only, although our decisions greatly affect others around us as well.   Baptism, the LORD’s Supper, or prayers won’t get you to heaven.   True repentant faith in which we turn over our life to Jesus Christ and receive His Spirit will get us to heaven.  Only His righteousness, with which He will cover us when we repent and become His child, can take us to heaven.  Our good works fall very short, if we have ever lied once, had one impure thought, or committed one sin.  GOD cannot allow sin into heaven.  He must punish it … even one sin.   To learn more about what the Bible teaches on salvation, be sure to visit the article at this link.  Some think they will achieve salvation by what they do.  Others believe they will achieve salvation without doing anything.  What does the Bible teach?  That’s all that really matters.  It’s the only Book that claims to be breathed directly from GOD, instead of from men or angels.

Lady MacbethIn classic Shakespearean tones, Lady Macbeth told her husband “Go get some water, and wash this filthy witness from your hand”.  Is that not how Pilate felt who committed suicide a few years after attempting to wash the guilt from his hands?  Is that not how we all feel when we have sinned?  What can wash away our sins?  The very thing of which we are guilty – the holy shed blood of Jesus can wash away our sins.  We need His forgiveness and that takes humility on our part.   In the end of your life, the only thing that will matter is the same question that Pilate faced … “What will you do with Jesus?”.

pontiuspilate-washinghands-fulltiltpoker-agccThe crucifixion of Christ was due to our sins.  We are all guilty of His blood. We cannot wash away our guilt through good works.  Our sins are why He died.  The word “conscience” is a Greek word meaning “with knowledge”.  In other words, every human was created at conception “with knowledge”.  We all know there’s a GOD and we all know right from wrong.  Some choose to ignore GOD, to deny GOD, or to just invent their own version of Him.
