I believe in global warming, the Big Bang, and separation of the powers of state from Christianity … and next you’ll be waiting for me to tell you that I believe I can fly. Well, actually I do believe in the above three, but just in a different way than you might think.
First, I believe in the “big bang” and global warming because of the following Scripture passage.
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat,THE EARTH ALSO and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwells righteousness.” – 2 Peter 3:10-13
In this Bible passage, we see that a “great noise” or “big bang” will take place as the heavens pass away at the end of time, not the beginning of time. We also see the earth will be warmed up to the point of burning as GOD sets on fire the Earth that has been so worshiped by pagans, which will bring new meaning to the term “Earth Day”.
Finally, I believe in a separation of the state from Christianity. Oh, and by the way, I do believe that I will fly. The rapture will ensure that I fly and that this separation takes place.
And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats” – Matthew 25:32
The “goats” don’t want the “sheep” to have influence in this world’s state, and neither does the Prince of this world. However, the King is coming back and when He does, He will dethrone the evil Prince and divide the “goats” from the “sheep”. Although the “goats” may want separation right now between the state and Christianity, and even though right now, they also probably want to be separated from the Christians, they will change their minds on judgment day as the goats are cast one-by-one into that horrific place called the lake of fire. In fact, instead of separation, the “goats” will probably desire to blend into the “sheep” on judgment day.
Those without Jesus Christ will finally have evidence for a “big bang”, a warm globe, and will achieve separation from those of us who believe in Christ. In fact, they will also be separated from GOD’s order, lawfulness, and eternal pleasures as they burn in the lake of fire forever, while Christians enjoy the beauties of heaven. In other words, they will be able to get what they have always wanted, but not quite in the way they have imagined it. As they say, “be careful what you wish for”.
